Friday - Finding the Clock and Peace in the Valley

Right at the wire we found it, the clock i'd been searching for for Ms William's 40th and there it was in Caldene antiques. Almost as if it was waiting for us. It's here now, ticking merrily. An eight day Napoleon hat clock with chimes. German made I believe in or around the early part of the 19th century.

When we picked George up from nursery he wanted to go for a drive and the sun was shining like a shining thing, so we took the road up Lumbutts and looked down on the valley for a while. These pictures give you an idea why we love the place so much.
