As if there haven't been enough sad losses this month, Terry Wogan joins them, passing away after a short battle with cancer. Again my memory goes back, aged 11 and listening to Wake up to Wogan - who played the music I was at the time obsessed with - everything retro and 60s, especially the beatles, I found him a genuine joy to get up to, and he made the beginning of my secondary school day start with a smile. I even wrote off for a signed postcard, which I still have in an old photo album. Dear Terry, the only reason to watch the Eurovision song contest, the figurehead of Children in Need, the gentleman of the airwaves, thank you, for my childhood memories. Rest easy.
