Bit of a strange day today, I thought George seemed warm when he woke up but just put it down to the usual rosy cheeks from being snuggled up, but when he still seemed hot after his bottle I took his temperature and was surprised to find it was 38.2, the strange thing being that he seemed fine despite it being pretty high. I gave him a dose of calpol, then later a dose of calprofen, I also popped his sleepsuit off. Kept monitoring him over the morning and was pleased to see it reduce again, and he also had a decent nap for about and hour and a half
He woke around 12 and drank almost a full bottle and by the time Jon returned home after lunch I'd put him back into trousers and a thin long sleeve and his temp was completely normal around 36.8/37 and I wondered if it had just been a blip...
He had some soft cheese on a slice of ciabatta and half a banana with a petit filous and a play in his pen, then an afternoon nap. Later however, it was back up to 38 again and despite his still seeming fine, we gave him another dose of calpol and calprofen. Another bottle and lots of play later we're still trying to get him down for a sleep and his temp has become static around 37.6. Not sure what the night or tomorrow will bring but I hope it doesn't further develop into something nasty and that he can shake this fever off.
