Northwich.

It's a slightly odd town Northwich. On the surface it is very very pretty, the black and white buildings are beautiful and there is a market centre, or was, before the market burned down and was replaced with a seating area with scrubby flower beds. It's trying. Really hard. The new Baron's Quay development was clearly meant to rejuvenate and attract people to shop and eat here...but it hasn't worked. It looks great, but it's empty. A walk through the town centre actually gave me Burnley or Oldham vibes. A civic centre rather gone to seed.
