The Poppins effect

Something happened a few weeks ago that was to change the house entirely. George watched Mary Poppins for the very first time. He was ENCHANTED. Since then, Mary, Bert and the children have become part of our almost daily viewing. He asks for it by saying ''Chimmy'' - kids, they melt your face.
Here, he is devouring an after tea box of sliced fruit with Edward Teddy watching MP. Oh, and we have also added Jungle Book, 101 Dalmations, Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Winnie the Pooh to the repertoire. The originals you understand. Disney Gold.

Design over Content

I'm struggling today, to make the blog look modern and yet not make a mess of things. I'm failing. I like the way the page looks, but where are my links down the right hand side? The pictures of me, Jon, George and Boo?? The blogs I follow? Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! As if it were not bad enough to be battling windows 8 on a daily basis, now this. HELP SOMEBODY!

Keeping it local - Hebden Bridge Farmer's Market

Local sausages from Christine at CN foods, runner beans, romanesque, courgettes and purple kale from the very grumpy vegetable seller - and not in shot but in our tummies, lemon and caraway sponge from the cake, bread and tart lady who's name I don't know. It PISSED down all day, a brief turn around the market and we were soaked, well, apart from George, who we put in charge of the umbrella and who walked around like a mini mushroom creating ploughing through people like a bow wave.
