Week ending

Seeded batch loaves just out of the oven

Mug designed by Bear follows cat from Hebden Bridge - bought for the flood relief fund raising - keeping me going through the sunday evening ironing

Watching my go-to Midsomer Murders episode 'Vixen's run'

Snuggly family pics

George watching Box of Delights and absolutely gripped by the bloodhound of the law James Grout. Ok, so it's July and this is a Christmas thing, but there's always room for Box.

Pictures from Lennie or Iris playing with a prezzie we got her in a beautiful shop in Angelsey - so funny, Lennie has  decided they must be kept them up on a high shelf out of reach so they don't get wrecked, Iris is allowed supervised visiting rights. Gorgeous girl.

Pokemon Go has taken over the world...

Sleep ninja...everybody was kung fu fighting!

Family time

Dee Nickerson

I discovered this amazing artist Dee Nickerson on Pinterest initially and then went looking online for more sources, her website is here https://deenickerson.com/ and she also has lots of cards for sale through http://www.greenpebble.co.uk/dee-nickerson-painter I also managed to find and follow her on twitter and instagram. I can't explain quite how much I love these beautiful pictures, theres something about the colours and details and the inclusion of nature, animals, people and crafting which I adore. One day, one day, I would love to own an original. For now, I will enjoy gazing at the below and order some cards.

Hugs and seeing the good things

Iris has been really unwell recently, it's been a recurrence of breathing problems, something that she has had on and off this year to varying degrees of severity, but sadly often needing to visit hospital. It seems that whenever she catches a bug - which unfortunately kids do a lot, it goes as if by default to her chest and makes it so difficult for her to breathe. Lennie has been unbelievably strong. Though i am sure she wouldn't think so. I just feel so sad she has had to deal with this repeatedly, the anxiety of a sick child is horrendous, for anybody, but add this on top of already having depression and anxiety and it's exhausting, terrifying and seriously hard. I wish there was more I could do in the practical sense, but what I can say with absolute sincerity is i'm thinking of you.

Photos below sent to me by Lennie after returning home from the hospital - the healing balm of flowers, new growth and the constancy of life around us.

Thursday

Went for a lovely swim with Donna and George and Jon came to meet us at the pool. Look how happy he is on his trike!

Got home and made guacamole and some nachos and had some quorn chilli, with 4, count them, home grown strawberries!

Wales

After the most amazing fairytale run in the Euros Wales went out tonight to Portugal, in the semi finals. Amazing spirit and heart. They really did themselves proud.
